Alamance County, North Carolina
A Press conference held today by Rev Greg Drumwright and activists at Tucker street apartments in Burlington, NC. The cruelty and subjugation of peaceful black community and voters and people of all background by Graham, Almance County, NC law enforcement yesterday was unwarranted and divisive and those police officers who pepper-sprayed on marchers including children must be held accountable for their unjust actions as members of the police force. A peaceful and nonviolent march to vote is planned for Tuesday afternoon at 3:00 PM. The courthouse in Alamance County where yesterday the Graham police pepper sprayed people participating in a march to the polls is the same place where the KKK in 1870 hanged Wyatt Outlaw, the first Black elected official in Graham. A confederate monument stands there today.
