Call to Action: Genocide Amendment Bill

If you are in United Kingdom then please ask your MPs to support the inclusion of the revised Genocide Amendment in the Trade Bill 2019-2021.

The Chinese Government has committed grave human rights abuses and reprehensible acts of oppression against the Muslim Uyghur people. Since 2017, more than 1 million Uyghur and Kazakh people have been extrajudicially detained in internment camps.

This past week, the BBC released reports of systemic rape conducted at these internment camps. The Chinese Communist Party have pursued policies of mass internment, arbitrary detention, familial separation, forced labour, and systemic rape.

The inclusion of this amendment in the Trade Bill will ensure that human rights and British values are reflected in the economic associations Britain makes with other nations.
