On June 18th, 2017,
17-year-old Nabra Hassanan’s life was cut short unexpectedly through no fault of her own. A victim of a violent crime, her innocence and bright future are forever lost. But her memory will never be forgotten.
Muslim women of the Raleigh-Triangle area stand together in solidarity against this senseless act of violence and will raise our voices to speak on behalf of our sisters in faith who grapple with the effects of Islamophobia on a regular basis. By raising our
voices, we hope to drown out the voices of hate and bigotry that try to inflict harm upon our Islamic community. We ask you to join your voice with ours under a banner of shared humanity to demand transparency in the ongoing investigation into Nabra’s murder and bringing her murderer to justice
