Great turnout of teachers, students, parents and activists to support and show solidarity to our NC teachers and education in Releigh. Carolina Peace Center supports for a better pay for our teachers and more funding for a quality education.
North Carolina ranks 37th in teachers pay in the U.S. and $9,600 below the national average. According to the NEA report, the average teacher salary in North Carolina has risen 5 percent since 2009 but, when adjusted for inflation, the amount has dropped 9.4 percent.

Our teachers and education is a national priority and necessary legislative actions are needed to improve our education system and teachers pay. Keep lobbying and keep working with advocacy groups and legislators for our teachers. In solidarity with our teachers and for quality education. #RedForEd
