Thank you, Attorney General Keith Ellison!

I want to personally thank Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison for his leadership and doing an amazing job in putting together a solid prosecution team for George Floyd case.
The guilty verdict today is a step towards the right direction but there is a lot of work ahead of us. We have to focus on systemic racism in America and institutionalized racism at every level including law enforcement. The police brutality must come to an end now.
Today George Floyd can breathe justice as his killer was found guilty. My thoughts and love are with George Floyd’s family and loved ones. We need to pass the George Floyd Justice in Policing Act in order to prevent injustices and senseless loss of life in the future. Let’s continue working together and honor the memory of all who have lost their lives to police brutality.
Keith Ellison said in his press conference today that, “I would not call today’s verdict justice, because justice implies true restoration. But it is accountability, which is the first step towards justice. And now the cause of justice is in your hands.”
I urge all Americans to unite to defeat and crush racism at every step and fabric of our nation.

Thank you, Attorney General Keith Ellison!
